Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we review the site as we add features and articles.
What we do
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate pages in order.
- Keyboard access with visible focus indicators for links, buttons, and forms.
- Labels on form fields, and status messages announced to assistive technology.
- Alternative text on meaningful images.
- Color contrast checks, and status never communicated by color alone.
- Mobile-first layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced-motion support for readers who prefer less animation.
Known limitations
Some older articles imported from our previous site may have incomplete image descriptions, and embedded third-party content, such as social posts or PDFs from the district, may not be fully accessible. We fix imported content as we find it, and we are glad to provide district documents in another format where we can.
